About Us
Handcrafted in Morehead City, North Carolina

I started Crystal Coast Models & Designs with a simple idea: create collectible boat models that capture the spirit of offshore sportfishing and the Carolina coast I call home. Growing up around the waters of Morehead City, Cape Lookout, and Core Sound, I've always been drawn to the beauty and craftsmanship of custom sportfishing boats. I went to the Martec Program starting in highschool for boat building and did a co-op program with Shearline Boatworks for work.
The concept came to me while thinking about how “Hot Wheels” lets car enthusiasts build their dream garage in miniature. Why not do the same for the offshore fishing community? That's how Micro Hulls was born. Built for anglers and boat lovers to build their ultimate fleet, one handcrafted model at a time.
The Crystal Coast Difference
Every model that leaves my Morehead City workshop is designed, printed, hand-finished, and painted right here in North Carolina. I use advanced 3D printing technology combined with traditional hand-finishing techniques to create models that honor the craftsmanship of the full-size boats that inspire them.

From the initial 3D design to the final epoxy finish, each step is carefully executed to ensure durability and detail. These aren't mass-produced toys, they are collectible pieces that reflect the pride and heritage of boat building.
Built with Pride, Inspired by Tradition
North Carolina has a rich maritime heritage, and that tradition of quality craftsmanship runs through everything I create. Whether it's a custom sportfisher , classic carolina workboat, or a custom center console each model tells a story of the waters we love and the vessels that navigate them.
I'm proud to be part of this community, and I'm honored to create pieces that celebrate our coastal identity. When you display a Crystal Coast model, you're not just showing off a boat, you're sharing a piece of North Carolina's maritime soul.
